We have wanted to go to the Frick Collection on the Museum Row forever but only made it last Sunday (as it is also Pay As You Wish from 11AM-1PM, what a coincidence..) ;) Make sure not to miss this gallery as the house itself (it used to be the house of steel magnate Frick for five years and would not have guessed: it was only built in 1913-14!). Also, take one of the free maps and audio guides which they offer in the entrance area. Otherwise, you will get lost soon. Another tip: Go to the Music room first since they show a 12 minute movie with background info on Frick and his collection as well as his vision of his house and future museum! A MUST SEE! PS: Watch out for special events such as today: It was Sunday Sketch day where you could borrow sketching tools and chairs for free from the museum.
